Your role will involve decisions on how to modernize technology stack across the block, remove technical debt, lead on the Data platform development using AWS services.

In this hands-on role, you will architect and engineer data pipelines, platforms, integrations and products on modern public cloud infrastructures in support of data analytics, and other data initiatives for a large organization.

Responsibilities

•Develop modern data architecture, standards, and strategies across the Regulatory Reporting area.

•Ability to translate business needs into long-term data architecture solutions. Expertise relating to the design and development of data systems across the organization.

•Establish data governance policies and best practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and security.

•Evaluate and select appropriate database technologies, tools, and platforms, both on-premises and in the cloud (AWS).

•Monitor data systems and troubleshoot issues related to data quality, performance, and integrity.

Requirements

•Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role with strong data modelling, architecture, and design skills.

•Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance regulations.

•Experience with the integration of complex, diverse, internally, and externally developed implementations of business functions to build scalable systems.

•Demonstrated knowledge of cloud data storage solutions, such as object storage, data lakes, data lake houses, and data warehouses. Demonstrated ability implementing and automating data infrastructures in support of a data ops and/or a continuous integration and delivery/deployment (CI/CD) development framework.

•Knowledge of cloud data engineering, data quality automation, data observability and/or DataOps tools. Proficiency with cloud-based infrastructure as code solutions, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.

•Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as, Python, C#. Advanced expertise in SQL development.

•Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.

•Ability to implement and support cloud data lake services using AWS solutions such as S3, CloudFormation, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, SageMaker, and Athena.
