About the Role

Danske Bank is looking for a motivated Senior Data Engineer to join the People Tribe and help modernize the HR data landscape. You will contribute to a digital-first HR transformation by building modern data solutions that enhance workforce experiences and support the bank’s broader digital strategy. This role offers an opportunity to shape next-generation data capabilities within a leading financial institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish the HR data foundation using Databricks hosted on AWS and take ownership of technical design and implementation.
• Build scalable and maintainable data solutions following modern engineering standards.
• Promote and apply best practices in data engineering.
• Collaborate closely with the Architecture Chapter.
• Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and develop future-proof solutions requiring minimal maintenance.
• Lead the technical data engineering agenda across the tribe.

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience working as a Data Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with PySpark.
• Demonstrated expertise in building data pipelines using Databricks.
• Ability to design and implement Medallion Architecture from scratch.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to gather domain knowledge and requirements directly from business stakeholders.
