The company and the challenges: 

SameSystem is a SaaS retail workforce management developer headquartered in Denmark. Their solution covers most of the retail operations, activities as planning, budgeting, legal compliance and sales projections and employee activity logging. Since the start of development in 2008 in Copenhagen and up until today, the solution has grown to be used in more than 12000 stores by 600+ retailers in 22 countries and is the most feature-complete and flexible Retail Workforce Solution on the market.    

This brings unique challenges to the design team located in Vilnius office which is responsible for both shipping new features, evaluating and transforming the current desktop and mobile app to align with business expectation and development.  

What you'll do:  

  • Collaborate with product managers on creating the logic of new features both online and in live meetings  
  • Participate in design sprints with the team  
  • Deliver flows and designs both solo and in a team  
  • Align with back and front-end engineers to ship beautiful and performant solutions  
  • Absorb relevant knowledge on how retail works  
  • Evaluate and challenge existing app logic & design to better align with business goals  
  • Keep up the style guide and neat project structure in Figma  

Required skills: 

  • A proven track record of user interface design & user experience design   
  • English on the level enough to keep a discussion going
  • Ability to receive and deliver constructive criticism and work well in an Agile team   
  • Knowledge of Sketch/XD/Figma (we use the latter) & excellent UI skills
  • Experience with prototyping and taking a product from the idea stage through to development, launch and user feedback  
  • The capacity of internalizing complex business logic

Nice-to-haves: 

  • Previous experience working on SaaS products is a huge plus  
  • Conducting usability testing and gathering feedback  
  • A/B testing, analytics & user monitoring experience of rolled-out features  
  • Knowledge of current UX best practices, including user research and accessibility across mobile and web
