Delphi Developer

For our customer we are looking for a Delphi developer to work with a local, in-house developed application called Cortex.

Cortex is an efficient, user friendly and structured tool for a rational order management, from order in to delivery. It gives control of order flow and users, statistics and traceability of used material. Cortex is an interface to the SAP R/3 ERP system. Cortex handles transactions which cannot be handled in SAP R/3.

Description of the activities

• Overall documentation of the application functions and infrastructure
• Analysis of the structure and functionality of the SQL- and Firebird databases for the Cortex Application
• Analysis of the structure and functionality of the Delphi programming
• Manage complex support cases within this application
• Day to day technical error analysis
• Design, integration and deployment of new functionality
• Manage infrastructure issues and support infrastructure roadmap of the overall global solution
• Regular discussions with the business

Required skills:
• Understanding and working experience of SQL database application, Firebird database application, Delphi programming and development functionality and interest in self development in this area. Experience or knowledge in one or more of the following:
o SQL database
o Firebird database
o Delphi
o SAP R/3

• Microsoft Office automation (macro scripting) or other script languages
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) are essential in order to communicate with a global end user community and writing documentation
• Strong analytical skills and communication skills
• Understanding and interest in tool making technology
• Service oriented working approach and a structured working approach
• Self going
• Interaction with business representatives will be an important part within the assignment
