Role Overview
The Senior Data Engineer will play a crucial role in architecting and developing modern data infrastructure, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver data-driven value across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a technical lead on projects, collaborating with sales, delivery teams, and clients.
- Take ownership of the technical design and architecture of data solutions.
Data Engineering & Architecture
- Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud-based data pipelines.
- Develop robust data models, SQL queries, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Work with technologies such as Python, Scala, Java, Spark, Databricks, and Snowflake.
- Design solutions aligned with data lake or lakehouse architecture.
- Leverage modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Quality & Optimization
- Implement data validation, testing, and performance tuning to ensure data integrity.
- Optimize data storage and processing in cloud environments.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Create clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives, such as community tech talks.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in data engineering, with exposure to BI or MLOps.
- Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, or DataVault.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with Spark is highly valued.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing and modern data stack concepts.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
