Role Overview

The Senior Data Engineer will play a crucial role in architecting and developing modern data infrastructure, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver data-driven value across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a technical lead on projects, collaborating with sales, delivery teams, and clients.
  • Take ownership of the technical design and architecture of data solutions.

Data Engineering & Architecture

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud-based data pipelines.
  • Develop robust data models, SQL queries, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Work with technologies such as Python, Scala, Java, Spark, Databricks, and Snowflake.
  • Design solutions aligned with data lake or lakehouse architecture.
  • Leverage modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Quality & Optimization

  • Implement data validation, testing, and performance tuning to ensure data integrity.
  • Optimize data storage and processing in cloud environments.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Create clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives, such as community tech talks.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in data engineering, with exposure to BI or MLOps.
  • Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, or DataVault.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with Spark is highly valued.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing and modern data stack concepts.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
