JavaScript Engineer (Node.js) - Ecom / Fintech | Chargemont

Chargemont – tai Lietuvoje veikianti fintech / e-commerce SaaS kompanija, kuri kuria automatizuotą „chargeback“ (mokėjimo ginčų) valdymo ir prevencijos sistemą internetinėms parduotuvėms, ypač orientuotą į Shopify verslus.

Online merchants process millions of transactions but operate with fragmented tools across payment processors, dispute networks, and internal systems. Chargemont connects these systems and turns raw operational data into structured workflows that reduce financial risk and automate complex operational processes.

We work with ecommerce and subscription companies to manage chargebacks, fraud signals, payment infrastructure, and operational risk. We are now expanding our internal platform and looking for a mid–senior JavaScript engineer to help build the next generation of our automation infrastructure.

About the Role

You will work directly with the founding team and CTO to build the internal systems that power our risk and dispute management platform.

This is a highly practical engineering role focused on solving real operational problems and shipping production systems quickly.

You will be expected to:

• Ask clarifying questions
• Identify missing details and constraints
• Propose a pragmatic technical approach
• Implement and ship solutions
• Improve reliability and reduce recurring operational issues

You will work on:

• Chargeback and dispute automation workflows
• Alert processing pipelines
• Data ingestion and synchronization across multiple systems
• Internal process automation and tooling

Qualifications

• 3+ years of strong JavaScript experience
• Solid Node.js experience (required)
• Practical React experience
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Experience integrating with 3rd-party systems
• Ability to independently drive loosely defined problems to production
• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem solving

AI-driven workflow

We expect efficient use of AI coding tools (Claude, Codex, Cursor, etc.) as part of your daily

development process to accelerate implementation and reduce repetitive work.
