Responsibilities:

The consultant will work with Join Database Engineering Team and will:

1. Architecture Design: Designing robust, scalable database solutions that support the organizational needs in AWS.

2. Technology Evaluation: Assessing and recommending database technologies and tools that could benefit the company.

3. Native AWS databases architecture, setting up replication, partitioning, and other advanced configurations to optimize performance and resilience.

4. Performance Tuning: Monitoring system performance and adjusting indexes, queries, and configurations to improve throughput and response times.

5. Security Implementation: Ensuring that database access is securely controlled, and that data is protected against unauthorized access or breaches. This includes implementing encryption and auditing policies.

6. Oracle re-platform / optimize (move to PostgreSQL RDS/Oracle RDS).

7. DB2 re-platform / optimize (move to PostgreSQL RDS/DB2 RDS) 

Requirements: 

 • AWS architect experience

• Databases architecture

• Security and compliance knowledge

• Terraform

• DevOps (git, CI/CD, etc.) 

Years of experience: 8

Preferred start date/end date: 

• Asap. For 6 months with possible further prolongation
