Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain ETLs and infrastructure required for data processing, analysis, and integration across various systems.

• Build robust and efficient data pipelines

• Ensure data integrity and quality by implementing data validation and cleansing processes.

• Define best data engineering practices in the Tribe through collaboration with Chapter Leads, Architects, Engineers and Data Engineering Guild.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement system improvements and new features.

• Act as a subject matter expert in the Tribe for Data Engineering related questions consulting other squads and engineers on most complex solutions.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience working as a Data Engineer with strong understanding of ETL processes, relational databases, and data modelling.

• Ideally you have been a leader with engineering background for some years or at least have a strong inner drive to lead a team of engineers and grow your leadership skills.

• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. Python is preferred.

• Experienced in working with ETL tools like SSIS, IBM Data Stage, Informatica, AWS Glue etc. to develop data pipelines ingesting data from structured / semi-structured data sources. AWS Glue is preferred.

• Experience with managing infrastructure, servers, and clusters on on-prem cloud platforms and public ones such as AWS, GCP or Microsoft Azure. AWS is preferred.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, ability to explain IT lingo to non-technical colleagues in a simple manner.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Science
