Freelance Chief Business analyst (B2B Contract)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst / Lead Business Analyst to join our client’s team on a remote basis.

This is a strategically important role for a professional who can lead complex business analysis initiatives, work effectively with senior stakeholders, and translate business needs and data-driven insights into meaningful organisational outcomes.

The successful candidate will play a key role in steering major business analysis initiatives that support strategic objectives, improve business processes, and contribute to sustainable organisational success.

Key Responsibilities

• Executive Business Analysis Leadership
• Lead major business analysis initiatives with significant organisational impact, ensuring alignment with business strategy, priorities, and objectives.
• Strategic Documentation & Reporting
• Develop high-level business analysis documentation, executive reports, presentations, and recommendations to support strategic planning and informed decision-making.
• Senior Stakeholder Engagement
• Partner with executive and senior stakeholders to understand strategic priorities, align business analysis objectives with organisational goals, and communicate complex findings clearly.
• Process Innovation & Improvement
• Identify opportunities to improve business analysis practices, methodologies, and processes, establishing standards that promote efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness.
• Data-Driven Leadership
• Lead and coordinate data analysis initiatives, ensuring that insights are translated into actionable recommendations and measurable business impact.
• Strategic Alignment
• Ensure business analysis activities remain closely connected to organisational strategy and contribute to long-term business objectives.

What We’re Looking For

• Extensive experience in business analysis, preferably in complex or large-scale organisations.
• Proven experience leading strategic or high-impact business analysis initiatives.
• Strong ability to communicate with and influence senior and executive stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience producing executive-level documentation, reports, and presentations.
• Strong understanding of business processes, requirements analysis, and process improvement.
• Experience working with data and translating analytical insights into business recommendations.
• Ability to operate effectively in a remote and cross-functional environment.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to connect detailed analysis to broader organisational objectives.
