Data engineer

Behal of our client - Cognizant, an American multinational information technology services and consulting company,we are looking for a Data engineer.

About the role:

You will be a part of a growing team with a significant impact on client’s business. This client is a leading player in the Nordic markets for pensions, life- and health insurance, banking, and asset management. The data delivered by the data team is a cornerstone for all major processes within the asset management area. The team is entrusted with full responsibility for market data and ESG data integrations for operational and analytical consumption. It plays a pivotal role in building a new data platform for the client where new exciting technologies are being employed.

Main responsibilities:

• Design and create data pipelines for a leading Nordic investment management firm

• Integrate data from different sources, primarily financial market data providers

• Develop mappings and workflows in dbt and Informatica PowerCenter, suggest enhancements

• Design and develop unit and integration tests

• Document and deploy, perform early care

• Migrate data products to a new data platform in cloud

Key technologies:

• Microsoft Azure stack

• Snowflake

• dbt

• Informatica PowerCenter, Control-M

• SQL, Python

For success you need:

• 1+ years of experience within data integration and/or warehousing

• Strong SQL skills

• Familiarity with PowerShell and/or Bash

• Good understanding of software development lifecycle

• Good communication skills in written and oral English

• Eager to learn, fast to adapt

• Education in IT or related fields
