Cloud Software Engineer (Java) in Core Payments Platform Tribe | Contract

Responsibilities:

The consultant will:

• Develop and improve cloud-native systems which are at the heart of a major Nordic financial institution;
• Leverage technical freedom, make and own decisions to improve our systems;
• Work with Java, Kafka, Elasticsearch, MS SQL, gRPC, REST, Kubernetes, and other cloud-native products;
• Continuously develop his/her own and his/her team’s capabilities and ways of working;
• Closely collaborate with the team, business users, and other teams inside the bank.

Requirements:

• High proficiency in Java and tools supporting Java development;
• Experience in development and continuous improvement of cloud-native systems;
• Ability to take ownership and responsibility to carry out deliveries in a structured manner;
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, and MQ;
• Positive, proactive attitude, DevOps mindset, ability and motivation to learn;
• Good communication skills and fluency in English.

Add important skills (Optional):

• Knowledge of Cloud-native architectural and integration patterns, and their implications;
• gRPC, Spring, Kafka, MS SQL, Elasticsearch, and other NoSQL data stores;
• Experience in the design and optimization of relational or non-relational databases.
